Since April this year, all central agencies started issuing licenses in electronic format only. This was written about by Minister of Transport & Communications Askar Zhumagaliyev in his Twitter, Zakon.kzn reports.

The portal was started on April 12, 2006 with 377 informational services implemented, covering the activities of multiple government agencies.

Vice Minister of Transport & Communications Saken Sarsenov and Chairman of the Board of NIT JSC Ruslan Yensebayev successfully tested the capabilities of digital signature recorded on the chip in the new-standard ID card. The demonstration was in the Almaty district Citizen Service Center in Astana.
